New Zealand Steel Limited is the country’s sole producer of flat rolled steel products for the building, construction, manufacturing and agricultural industries. NZS operates a fully integrated steel mill at Glenbrook, about 60 kilometres south of Auckland producing around 650,000 tonnes of steel a year. Of this it exports 60% of its steel output.
AVS IN THE COMMUNITY
AVS is proud to be actively involved in the community by directly supporting youth cricket in Auckland. We also invest in native forest conservation through our close partnership with the QE2 Trust by re-establishing native forest and fauna on a large conservation estate north of Auckland.
