Hansells NZ Ltd began operating in the food business as a manufacturer of emulsion culinary essences in 1934, when a chemist named Hansen linked up with the founder, “L.B.” Maunsell, M.c. It was the combination of the two names of these entrepreneurs that determined the name “Hansells”.
