Fonterra’s $500 million Darfield milk processing plant began with stage 1 on their 650-hectare facility and was completed in August 2012. Dryer one “D1”, is a 15t/hr milk powder dryer initially capable of processing more than 2.5 million litres of milk into 380 tonnes of powder daily.
