Open Country Dairy has completed the multimillion dollar expansion of its 2nd milk dryer which is expected to double production at the Awarua plant. Open Dairy has three plants – in Southland, Taranaki and Waikato – and exports to about 45 countries. Open Country is a private company, majority-owned by New Zealand food group Talley’s.
